Custom Orders and Repairs
How can I commission the Bead Gallery to create custom jewelry for me?
Simply come in and talk with one of our staff. Many of our customers will bring in a photograph from a magazine or a catalog of a piece that inspires them. Others will visit our accessories boutique, Adorn Me
, for ideas and will commission jewelry based on designs they see there. Still others will simply discuss their vision with our staff. Many people know exactly what sort of jewelry they want to have created, while just as many have only a vague concept in mind. We can help make those visions become reality!
How much do repairs and custom orders cost?
We charge $30 per hour plus the cost of materials. A simple strung necklace typically takes 30-45 minutes. A knotted necklace typically takes 1-2 hours. Each project varies, but we will be happy to give you an estimate.
How soon will I be able to pick up my jewelry after I leave it to be repaired or after I request a custom order?
Repairs and custom orders typically take 2-3 weeks. On some occasions, we may be able to complete a rush order. Keep in mind that repairs typically take longer to complete at our busier times of the year, such as Art Fair and the winter holidays.
